Madelustre was founded in 1984 by the brothers Clóvis, Miguel and Rui Furlanetto, in Garibaldi, Rio Grande do Sul. It developed from the vocation of Italian immigrants to work in wood. After 30 years of hard work, it is a benchmark in quality and design in the segment. With its space conquered in the market and the particularity of combining technology and art, it helps to dictate a trend in decorative lighting.
Serra Gaúcha is a region of European colonization that has specific socio-cultural characteristics. Over the years, the region has achieved great rates of economic and human growth, making its economy one of the most dynamic in Brazil. It stands out for its great production of grapes and wine and for its industrial and tourist development.

Madeira is one of Madelustre's main raw materials. The company is recognized in the Brazilian market for the most complete line of colonial style lamps, thanks to its specialty in the production of wooden and metal structures. It presents pieces that tell the history of the rustic, such as the lamps made with original wagon wheels, produced by former blacksmiths over half a century ago.
The implementation of its own glassware allowed the company to recreate Murano artistic glass in Brazil and expand lines with exclusive contemporary collections made by hand, which gives it a unique Madelustre style.
Art, technology and design go together at Madelustre, which differentiates itself in the market by customizing machines to recreate its own technology and develop unique and innovative production processes.
The harmony between production and environmental preservation are values inherent to Madelustre's corporate culture. Care for the environment includes the exclusive use of wood certified by IBAMA and industrial processes oriented to the high utilization of raw materials and the low generation of waste.
Madelustre created its own glassware in 2008 with the concepts of the Murano school. He imported the technology and equipment, brought Italian masters to train the team, to implement the entire production process and to guarantee excellence in the art of working glass using blown glass, molded glass (piastra) and centrifuged glass.

Madelustre in the Guinness Book
Madelustre entered the Guinness Book - The Book of Records, with the merit of having manufactured the largest glass of sparkling wine in the world. The Madelustre supercup was produced especially for the October 2013 edition of Fenachamp in Garibaldi-RS. The piece is 219 cm tall, weighs 33 kilos and reached the title with 100.5 liters corresponding to 134 bottles of the drink. The brand surpasses the previous record, belonging to Ukraine, with a 150 cm tall cup and a capacity for 75 bottles. The making of the Record Cup required molds, tools and systems specially elaborated according to the techniques of Murano (Italy) for the manufacture of blown glass and molded glass. It took more than 3 months of work to reach the final product. “This was the largest piece ever made in our glassware. The team was very motivated by the challenge and spared no effort ”, says Clóvis Furlanetto, Madelustre director.
